SadCoins & Refunds

SadHost hosting is free — that is the whole point. SadCoins are in-site credits you can earn for free and spend on optional extras, such as installing a modpack or pre-generating a world before your friends join. They are not money, and nothing on SadHost requires them.

1. How you get SadCoins

• Earn them in-site — the Coins tab has earning links you can complete for free.
• Promotions — we hand out SadCoins during events and to people who report bugs or help in Discord.
• Rewards — some features refund partially when they fail (see below).

2. What they are spent on

• Installing a modpack from the Modpacks tab.
• Pre-generating your world so exploring far from spawn does not cause lag.
• Other optional conveniences we add over time.

Every action shows its cost before you confirm it, and the balance in the Coins tab is the source of truth.

3. Automatic refunds

• If an action that spends SadCoins fails because of a system error, the SadCoins are returned to your balance automatically.
• If you were charged and the feature never worked because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will make it right.
• Spending is final once the action succeeds, because the work is performed immediately and cannot be undone — for example a modpack download that already consumed bandwidth.

4. What SadCoins are not

• They are not a currency: they cannot be converted to cash, transferred outside SadHost or exchanged for anything else.
• They have no cash value and no expiry date while your account is in good standing.
• SadHost is free to use without ever earning or spending a single SadCoin.

5. Requesting help with a balance

Email support@sadhost.com from the address on your account with your username, the approximate time of the action and what you expected. We reply within two business days and will check the transaction log for you.
